MICROBLADING
Microbalding is perfect anyone wanting a natural, undetectable, “perfectly maintained natural brow” look. These can be done with microblades or nanoblades, or with a machine, to create the appearance of natural hair. We follow the natural growth of any existing hair, or if there is no hair, we create an illusion of natural hair by creating a brow following the natural directional brow hairline. This can be done using one single colour or multiple colours for those with multi-tone hair.
OMBRE
Ombre powder fill brows use a more traditional tattooing method, with longer lasting results, and works with most skin types, including oily or combination skin. Clients come back for colour boosts closer to the 12-18 month mark. The brow is also fuller and more defined or dramatic than with the microblading method. If you are someone who fills in your brows regularly with pencil or shadow, then this is the method for you! It mimics the look of filled in brows, without all the effort each morning.
COMBINATION
The combination of microbladed hair strokes and a powder fill gives an incredibly natural looking brow. It’s a bit more defined and filled in than just straight microbladed brows, and a bit less solid and dramatic than the ombre powder fill.
Who Cannot Get Microblading / Ombre Eyebrow Tattoo?
It is important to review this list prior to booking any Microblading or permanent makeup procedures at our premium beauty lounge. Client safety is our priority. Clients who have any of the contraindications listed below are unfortunately not able to undergo microblading or permanent makeup procedures.
- Under 18 years old (without Parent/Guardian permission)
- Pregnant and lactating women (while nursing)
- Currently taking blood-thinning medications (e.g. Aspirin/Ibuprofen or related)
- Currently on Cortisone, Steroids, Acutaine, Retin-A, Renova. You must have a written permission from your physician if you are taking Coumadin or Heparin.
- Have skin diseases such as: Psoriasis, eczema, undiagnosed rashes or blisters.
- Allergic to makeup or colours that could easily trigger post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.
- Herpes simplex
- High blood pressure and heart conditions.
- Blood disorder such as hemophilia, sickle cell anemia and platelet disorder.
- Keloids or hypertrophic scarring.
- Severe acne on or around the treated area.
- For Eyeliner procedure: cannot perform if you have sty, red eye, or any eye diseases.
- For lips procedure: cannot perform if you have herpes or cold sore
Eyebrow Tattoo FAQ
Eyebrow Tattooing is performed with a manual handheld tool where the pigment is implanted under the skin. A very fine disposable blade is used to deposit the pigments into the epidermis, leaving strokes that appear and remain crisp and extremely fine. Eyebrow tattooing is more superficial than body tattooing, impacting color closer to the top skin surface, resulting in a natural look.
This procedure might be a bit uncomfortable, it feels a bit like plucking hair out. Before we start the procedure, we will numb the area with the proper numbing cream or local anesthetic to make sure that this treatment is as comfortable and painless as possible for every patient. To sustain patient comfort, numbing cream can be reapplied during treatment.
Eyebrow Tattooing cannot be done quickly, it will take approximately 2-3 hours to get the procedure done. Our Beautician will help determine the best color and shape for your brows by drawing the eyebrows you want with a removable pencil. Our expert beautician will draw the eyebrows based on your facial features, your aesthetic goals, and your current eyebrow shape.
There will be some redness and light swelling after the procedure and your new brows will appear dark. This is completely normal, your brows will fade to a lighter color as you continue to heal. You may also notice some scabbing, do not pick at the scabs, as you may cause some damage to the outcome of the microblading. The healing process can take 7-14 days.
Your semi-permanent eyebrows can last 1-3 years, occasional touch-ups may be needed once the pigments begin to fade. A touchup is recommended 4-6 weeks after your initial procedure. The eyebrow tattooing results are natural looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present. Individual results will vary.*
